“ This place is such a gem, glad my wife found it! Everything we shared was absolutely delicious! We shared the chicken bites with picante Gorgonzola sauce (it was addicting like crack, you have to get it), chimichurri fries (delicious and crispy), sliders with Brazilian cheese bread (yummy), chicken sandwich (huge and awesome) and bacon cheese stuffed burger. The owner Jonathan, his dad and his staff a wonderful and attentive! The place also has cool Graffiti at the walls. You feel right at home here. Go check it out! ”
“ Amazing food and service! I went here with my husband and grandpa for Sunday brunch. We got 4 sliders of Brazilian cheese bread (it's sooooo good but not picture), ommelette, Belo Burger, and Brazilian sandwich. I'm sorry I forgot the name but everything is delicious! Live the ambiance and the service is top notch! Will definitely be back for dinner menu. Love it! ”
“ Now open for lunch! Belo is a Brazilian spot with a funky feel. Its decor is downright fun. My server was one of the nicest I've had in a while. He let me take a call while at the restaurant. What I noticed while there was how appreciative of every person that walked in. He was the kindest. As per his recommendation, I got the breaded chicken cutlet sandwich off the new lunch menu, which is only about 3 weeks old now. I asked for it with their chipotle mayo, and it was soooooo good. I waited a bit to bite into it because I waited for my call to be over, but once I tried it, I was hooked. And the sandwich was HUGE. The other half was my dinner. Not to be forgotten were the fries. Not usually a fry girl, but these are my fav kind. Crunchy but soft on the inside. I wish I asked for extra chipotle mayo for dipping. The passion fruit juice was on point as well. With my check I was given a bite sized pastry with dulce de leche inside and it was heaven!! Excited to try them for dinner now. ”
“ Now that Belo is open for lunch, I had to make an effort to try it! I ordered the Breaded Chicken Cutlet on a roll with chipotle mayo and a side of their kale with roasted garlic. Usually I'm ordering chicken cutlet sandwiches from the deli but today, was so happy to get something fresh! The cutlet was breaded and fried perfectly, it was evenly dressed with just the right amount of mayo and toppings. The side of kale, though not on the menu, is something you can order separately. I don't like kale, but I was dreaming of Belo's kale the last few weeks and I couldn't leave without having it. What a perfect duo for lunch! Thank you for opening for lunch! ”
“ I visited Belo last night for dinner with a friend, and I have no idea why it took me so long to check this place out! It's the sister restaurant of The Alcove, another neighborhood gem, and it is AMAZING on every level. Everyone who works there was so sweet and welcoming and funny. It felt like I was hanging out with a bundh of close friends. The owner, Jonathan, is so personable, and we really loved our server, Muriel. The ambiance has a fun, urban vibe, and I liked that the tables weren't too close together. Now onto the food. OMG WTF. It's ridiculously delicious! We shared the sliders, chimichurri fries, chicharron, and feijoada (a stewed pork dish), and everything was so flavorful and perfectly executed. The sliders were close-your-eyes and tilt-your-head-back good. We're definitely coming back for the tacos next time, and I hope to try pretty much everything on their menu at some point. I should note that they don't serve hard alcohol like vodka/gin/tequila, but they make delicious cocktails with spirits such as sake and soju. Such a great place! ”
“ We came across Belo after our initial plans fell through. They welcomed us in during a thunderstorm and seated us immediately. Full bar with about eight beers on draft. Certainly a focus on craft beer with some local options amongst them. We started the avocado and mango salsa which came with yuca chips. Chips are crunchy and generously seasoned making them rather addictive. I liked the bright flavors in the salsa. For the main course, we shared the picanha. It's a giant portion that's best shared. I was absolutely stuffed after it. The platter included three pieces of picanha which I'd estimate were likely around a pound of meat, a bowl of black beans, a heaping of white rice, extra crispy fries, pico, and collard greens. Service was attentive. Pacing of the food was on point. There were two single occupancy restrooms with one being handicap accessible. ”
“ Colorful interior. I love the Pao de queijo sliders ask for all chicken* trust me. Soooo good. The flight drinks aren't that good. The fish tacos were bland maybe season the batter, it would be better. Quick service. Friendly staff. I am addicted to the sliders so good. Oh they have chimichuri fries with parm, I think. soooo good!ok I'm done enjoy! =) ”
“ My friend and I landed here for brunch. It was a nice day, but we preferred inside seating. The place is spacious, with many tables inside and outside. We were served by Alejandra, a very sweet and friendly waitress. I ordered smashed Avocado Benedict, and my friend had Steak and Eggs. My dish was pretty good. I was not fond of the bread much, but I never liked bread other than multigrain anyway, so that's ok. The potato was quite good, though. My friend said her steak and eggs were awesome. Next time I'll try that. Great coffee! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the establishment, Jonathan. I think his father was there, too. Their dinner menu looks great. Maybe Hubby and I will try dinner here one day. We also saw another waiter named Arturo. He also served our table. Nice pretty place with superb service. Thanks! ”
“ I'd been meaning to try this place out for a couple of years after seeing the raving reviews - and I was in the area so I stopped by on a whim. Glad I did, this place is really awesome. The biggest reason I'll be coming back is the friendly service and overall good vibes. The guy behind the bar and the staff are really engaging - they warmly greet every person who steps through the door and make you feel at ease. The place itself has fun decor and colors throughout - and the establishment is a bit on the smaller side but definitely not cramped. I actually prefer this to a huge restaurant that can be either super-loud when full, or alienating when there's fewer patrons. They have a TON of excellent food options for brunch, lunch and dinner - and a lot of good beer, cocktail and juice to choose from as well, which is half the reason I'll be coming back. We ordered some of the Pao de Queijo (cheese bread) and their Mini Salgados (assorted Brazilian bites - chicken, cheese and corn, beef etc.) with their Verde sauce for our appetizer - the bread was good but I'd order a truckload of those Salgados. I got myself the Drunken Mineiro as my main dish and my partner got their Stuffed Burger (the patty is stuffed with bacon, and it comes with melted cheese + fried egg and avocado) - and neither of us could finish our food. Portions are generous and filling, AND the quality is excellent. On top of all of that, the prices were quite reasonable. I got myself a huge tasty meal (basically 2 smaller ones, since I ate my leftovers at home for dinner) plus an iced coffee for about $45, tip included - that's a solid deal for NYC, no matter what neighborhood. I'm already planning my next two trips back here at least - one to try their brunch options, and another to have their steak / barbecue. Can't wait. ”
“ Love Belo! The service, ambiance and the food was amazing. We ordered the fish, steak and pork tacos, the mango avocado salsa, drinks, and dessert. Everything about this dinner was incredible. This is the owners' second restaurant; they also run The Alcove around the corner, which is delicious too! I'm so glad I was able to finally come to Belo! The food was great! I can't wait to come back and try more of their food options. I highly recommend Belo! ”
